Rituals

On Tales of Tamriel we want to encourage creative freedom when it comes to exploring the myriad of possibilities The Elder Scrolls provides. When it comes to magic, there are many intricacies and we want to allow players to indulge in them as much as they desire.

Conducting a ritual will have many factors regarding the deities involved, or creatures, what the goal is, and so on. Certain gods might have certain desires for offerings sacrifices or quests they may offer. When you wish to conduct a ritual to receive a boon, the best thing to do is open a narrator ticket while explaining your goal. In most cases we won't simply tell you exactly how to proceed, but we can guide you along the way.

These things can range from wanting a blessing for power, an artifact weapon or item, a mount, money, knowledge. Of course we will ensure nothing is allowed into the world that will break a character or make them incredibly powerful. It is our hopes that this will create fun, creative and unique interactions for everyone to experience.

Be careful though, as angering the Divines, especially the Daedric Princes can have bad outcomes.

This includes yourself, or the entirety of the map.

Some examples of rituals include obtaining daedric weapons, otherworldly attributes or a boon to your own personal frame. Keep in mind that these rituals will not be easily acquired nor will they be completed within a day or two. Most of these will require multiple sessions of roleplay depending on the complexity of said ritual.
